The ideal candidate will have previous experience in product development with a large scale supply chain solutions or global freight management business.


  • Support a team of Product Development Managers in the delivery of the product solution
  • Build relations with the identified subject matter experts of the different products to ensure point of escalation and team support within product steering committees
  • Responsible for ensuring the team structure and processes exist to identify and maximise USP’s in order to build compelling products, collateral and propositions
  • Act as the critical functional link between senior management peers in the commercial, operational and the technology delivery pillars
  • Work with the product development and sales & marketing teams to approve the initial stage of any business case and value proposition for developments built into products and services through customer insight
  • Work within defined development processes including, multi work-stream road mapping, product enhancements, product planning, prioritisation and delivery
  • Review relevant product research; to verify competitive intelligence and various market analysis
  • Approve the creation and maintenance of product collateral designed to educate internal stakeholders’ and ensure product knowledge transfer
  • Represent the business and promote the products by advocating for their value and benefits at executive briefings, marketing events and other channels such as online consumer platforms
  • Deployed into significant tenders alongside sales teams to assist with building winning propositions, re-tenders and cross selling products to existing customers.


  • Educated to a degree level is desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience in similar role with a supply chain solutions or global forwarding business
  • Proven experience in building, managing and motivating a diverse team
  • Experience of developing winning proposals in a variety of formats and create customised, profitable pricing structures in response to the customer’s requirements
  • Strong influencing & negotiation skills with the ability to influence others through the results of data analysis and interpretation
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of commercial acumen through knowledge of industry best practice
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level
  • Proven IT Skills – Proficient in PowerPoint & Excel
