With a South East based head office, and an increase in working from home, the role is suitable for anyone living within 100 miles of London.

As key Account Manager, you will be managing relationships with a portfolio of ocean freight and air freight clients, mostly shipping direct FCL / LCL from Far East / Indian Sub-Continent to the UK

  • Retain and grow your customers by engaging clients in Digital products and successfully on boarding them on the portal
  • Act as a strategic partner and advisor to the client, discover new opportunities to work together for mutual benefits
  • Own the commercial relationship, service quality and technology implementation / usage
  • Responsibility for profitability growth with designated clients
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts by up-selling and cross-selling
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis, ensuring needs are consistently met or exceeded
  • Conduct strategic account reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with their products and services
  • Conduct client data analysis to identify business opportunities
  • Monitoring company performance against service level agreements, identify and turn around ‘at risk’ accounts,
  • proposing solutions for maintaining client loyalty



  • A strong background in freight forwarding, particularly ocean import knowledge
  • Experience managing key customer relationships
  • Excellent Tech skills in order to confidently promote digital supply chain management solutions
  • Strong negotiation skills with excellent presentation skills
  • A solid understanding of customer supply chains and KPIs is desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to conduct client data review and communicate to the customer the value
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to plan long term business growth with top clients
